There appears to be an issue with Enterprise Guide (EG) pop-up Windows appearing off screen. When pop-ups occur out of view, your session will effectively hang as you have no way to dismiss the dialog box.
This issue may only apply to those users that swap back and forth between a single display and an extended desktop environment consisting of multiple displays. EG seems to store some meta information that later dictates where it should display items on the screen rather than checking back in with the OS’s display settings during each session.
Please note that if you employ the solution of wiping out the EG data stored in the Application Data folder (as described in the link above), I highly recommend backing it up in another folder first so that if you’re unhappy with the results you have the ability to restore your original settings.
